Mount Saint Agnes Academy is an Alberta Accredited International School that provides excellence in private education from the Early Learning Program and Kindergarten through Grade 12. MSA is seeking candidates for the following teaching positions commencing the 2026-27 school year:
Academic and Career Advisor
The Academic and Career Advisor supports students in Grades 6–12 with course planning, academic pathways, and post‑secondary preparation within an Alberta‑accredited international school. This role develops four‑year education plans, advises on high school requirements, and ensures students meet Alberta graduation standards.
The Advisor also provides comprehensive post‑secondary guidance, including career exploration and support for post‑secondary applications to universities, colleges, and other programs, to Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
Specific Responsibilities
- Support students in Grades 6–12 with course planning, academic pathways, and post‑secondary preparation within an Alberta‑accredited international school.
- Advise students and families on Alberta high school requirements and ensure students meet graduation standards.
- Review annual student registrations, monitor academic progress, and update plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate academic records, including updates related to credits, course plans, and registration changes.
- Provide comprehensive post‑secondary advising, including support with career exploration, scholarship information, and applications to universities, colleges, and other programs in Canada, the US, the UK, and additional countries.
- Teach the Career and Life Management (CALM) course to high school students and other courses as assigned by the Principal.
- Supervise students in Work Experience, Special Projects and online distance courses
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education.
- Have three years teaching experience, but consideration will be given to newer teachers who are highly motivated.
- Meet the teacher certification requirements to teach in an Alberta Accredited International School (for more information see www.education.alberta.ca) and meet the requirements for licensing with the Bermuda Educators Council.
- Have proven effective classroom management and knowledge of best teaching practices, including differentiation.
- Have a commitment to being part of a supportive and faith-filled Catholic school community.
- Have proven abilities in the use of technology in the delivery of instruction.
- Be willing to moderate or coach an extra-curricular or after-school activity.
- Possess proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with the Alberta Programs of Study would be an asset.

Career and Technology Studies (CTS)/Computers and Finance Courses – Middle and High School
This position requires the successful candidate to teach a variety of subjects in CTS, Computers and Finance Courses in middle and high school. Career and technology studies (CTS) teachers help junior and senior high school students learn skills for personal living, prepare for future education and career possibilities, develop technological skills, and discover and integrate other curricular subject areas into their CTS studies. The candidate will be required to teach Finance as required by the Programs of Study, to the 30 level.

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
The Assistant Principal plays a vital role in supporting and promoting the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of MSA. The individual will have the responsibility for all aspects of teacher management which may include recruitment, hiring, orientation, and assignment of duties. Excellence in leadership, inspiring and motivating others, ensuring teaching staff have opportunities to learn and grow, and are positioned to inspire academic excellence is an expectation. Collaboration skills are required to work closely with the Principal in order to contribute to the strategic goals of MSA and analyze and plan for its future needs and further development. The Assistant Principal of the School will oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, working closely with the Principal and assume the responsibilities of the Principal in their absence.
Specific Responsibilities
- Serve as curriculum lead to ensure the success of a comprehensive curriculum.
- Strong understanding of research based effective pedagogical strategies.
- Work with the Principal to lead, motivate, support, evaluate and develop the leadership team and all staff, to ensure continual improvement.
- In conjunction with the Principal, collect, analyze and interpret data, including exam results, for program improvement in conjunction with the faculty.
- Ability to provide effective leadership which will foster innovation, collaboration, respect and trust.
- Efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources in academic and extracurricular activities.
- Support and adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of MSA; carry out the disciplinary policies of the school.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
- Support the spiritual growth and faith formation of students, faculty and staff through the integration of Catholic teachings, liturgical celebrations and service-learning opportunities.
- Teach courses as directed by the Principal, ensuring high-quality instruction aligned with school standards.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree in education, a master’s degree or higher in education or a related field;
- Ten or more years of experience working in education, with administrative and leadership experience preferred;
- Extensive experience and a deep knowledge of an international curriculum and exceptional abilities in the areas of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation;
- Experience in managing and inspiring professional growth of staff, through effective training, coaching and development;
- Superior skills in strategic planning and implementation of instructional programs;
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Knowledge of, and commitment to, quality inclusive education for all students;
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong skills in the use of current technology as a tool in education.
